ugh he had an actual personality in the books. he sassed snape (“you don’t need to call me professor, sir”), poked fun at dudley, has arguments with himself about wanting to fuck with ginny (i found that internal but she’s your best mate’s sister! to be hysterical for some reason), goes on to have lustful dreams about ginny, and generally acted like a human being with a full range of emotions and a sense of humor.
